⭕ Description

A lightweight Thin Lines Sikh Kara, featuring subtle decorative lines running around the circumference for a simple but distinctive appearance.

Made from chrome-plated iron, this R7 Kara has an attractive silver-tone polished finish while remaining extremely lightweight at approximately 7–11g, depending on the selected size.

The Kara measures approximately 5mm wide and 1mm thick, making it a good choice for customers who prefer a thin, lightweight and discreet Sikh Kara rather than a heavy or chunky design.

The lined detailing adds character without making the Kara overly decorative, allowing it to retain a traditional and versatile appearance.

These Karas are sourced from Sri Amritsar Sahib, Punjab, and are available in a wide selection of inner-diameter sizes.

📏 Choosing Your Kara Size

The size shown in the variation menu is the INNER DIAMETER of the Kara measured in centimetres.

For example:

6.5cm = approximately 6.5cm inner diameter

The easiest way to determine your size is usually to measure the inside diameter of an existing correctly fitting Kara, straight across the centre without including the metal.

Remember that a fixed Kara must pass over the widest part of your hand, so wrist circumference alone does not determine the correct size.

Please select your required size carefully from the available variations.

⚠️ Important – Ultra-Thin Lightweight Construction

R7 is approximately 1mm thick and weighs only around 7–11g.

Because it is a particularly thin and lightweight Kara, it is naturally more flexible than thicker and heavier Kara designs.

Minor differences in roundness or shape can therefore occur through traditional manufacturing, bundling, transportation and handling.

If you specifically require a heavy, highly rigid or consistently precision-rounded Kara, we recommend choosing one of our thicker designs instead.

🪯 Sikh Kara & Traditional Significance

The Kara (ਕੜਾ) is one of the Five Kakars (5Ks) traditionally associated with initiated Khalsa Sikhs.

Its circular form is commonly understood within Sikh tradition as a reminder of discipline, responsibility, righteous conduct and connection with the Guru.

Sikh Karas are available in many different materials, weights and designs according to individual preference.

R7 offers a particularly lightweight and minimalist interpretation, with subtle decorative lines around its circumference.

🔨 Traditional Amritsar Manufacturing Characteristics

These Karas are sourced from Sri Amritsar Sahib, Punjab and are manufactured, shaped, finished, bundled and transported using processes that involve considerable manual handling.

They should therefore not be expected to have the flawless uniformity of precision-machined luxury jewellery.

Individual R7 Karas may naturally show minor characteristics including:

• Small scuffs or surface marks

• Minor dings

• Black grinding marks

• Joint/finishing marks

• Tiny pits or marks around the joined area

• Minor polishing variation

• Small plating variations

• Slight dimensional differences

• Minor variation in the decorative lines

• Slight variation from a perfectly circular shape

Amritsar Karas are commonly transported together in bulk, which can naturally result in minor contact marks where individual Karas rub against one another.

These characteristics do not normally affect the intended use of the Kara.

🎯 Ideal For:

• Sikh religious gifts

• Vaisakhi gifts

• Gurpurab occasions

• Punjabi cultural gifts

• Spare or replacement Kara

⚠️ Important Information & Protective Disclaimer

THIN & LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN: R7 is approximately 5mm wide, 1mm thick and only 7–11g depending on size. It is intentionally a very lightweight Kara and should not be expected to have the rigidity or substantial feel of a thicker Kara.

SHAPE VARIATION: Because of its thin construction, minor bends, oval appearance or slight variations from perfect roundness can occur through manufacturing, bundling, transportation and normal handling. Minor shape variation consistent with this lightweight construction is a normal characteristic of R7.

AMRITSAR MANUFACTURING & TRANSPORT: These Karas are manufactured and sourced from Sri Amritsar Sahib, Punjab. Karas are traditionally handled and transported together in bulk, so rubbing and contact between individual pieces can result in minor scuffs, dings and surface marks.

JOINT & FINISHING MARKS: Small black grinding marks, joint marks, tiny pits/holes, polishing marks, minor scratches, slight unevenness and other small finishing characteristics may be visible, particularly around the joined area. These are common manufacturing characteristics and do not necessarily constitute defects.

LINES DESIGN: R7 features decorative lines around the circumference. It does not feature engraved Khanda symbols.

MATERIAL: This product is made from chrome-plated iron. “Silver Tone” describes its appearance and does not indicate solid silver.

PLATING: Chrome plating is a surface finish. Its appearance may gradually change due to friction, wear, perspiration, moisture, chemicals, cleaning products and storage conditions.

SIZE: Variation measurements refer to approximate inner diameter in centimetres. Minor dimensional differences can occur.

GENUINE DAMAGE: The disclosures above describe the normal characteristics of this economical Kara range and do not remove applicable consumer rights where an item is genuinely faulty, materially damaged or significantly different from its description.

COLOUR: Colour and surface appearance may vary slightly due to photography, camera flash, lighting conditions and individual screen settings.
