✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 25 Sawan | 9 August, Sunday | SGGS Ang 788 ✨
ਤੁਰਦੇ ਕਉ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਉਡਤੇ ਕਉ ਉਡਤਾ ॥
ਜੀਵਤੇ ਕਉ ਜੀਵਤਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਮੂਏ ਕਉ ਮੂਆ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕੀਆ ॥
Ŧurḏe kao ṯurḏā milai udṯe kao udṯā.
Jīvṯe kao jīvṯā milai mūe kao mūā.
Nānak so salāhīai jin kāraṇ kīā.
🌿 Meaning (English):
Those who move meet others who move; those who fly meet others who fly. The living associate with the living, and the dead with the dead. O Nanak, praise the One who created this entire creation.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
चलने वाले चलने वालों से और उड़ने वाले उड़ने वालों से मिलते हैं। जीवित जीवितों के साथ और मृत मृतकों के साथ मिलते हैं। हे नानक! उस सृष्टिकर्ता की स्तुति करो जिसने यह सारी रचना रची है।
💫 Reflection:
This Shabad reminds us that creation follows a Divine order and that beings naturally associate according to their nature. Yet Guru Sahib directs our attention beyond these relationships to the One Creator behind everything.
Our surroundings and company influence our thoughts and direction. Gurbani therefore encourages us to choose uplifting Sangat while remembering that the ultimate purpose is not merely belonging to a group, but recognising and praising Waheguru—the Creator of all.
When our attention turns toward the Creator, we begin to see life with greater humility and gratitude. Instead of becoming lost in temporary associations, we remember the One who gives meaning to them all.

Value good company, but keep your heart connected to the Creator of all.

Choose uplifting Sangat, remember Waheguru, and recognise His presence throughout creation.
