✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 1096 ✨
ਜਾ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੈ ਵਲਿ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਮੁਹਛੰਦਾ ॥
ਤੁਧੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈਨੋ ਸਉਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ॥
जा तू मेरै वलि है ता किआ मुहछंदा ॥
तुधु सभु किछु मैनो सउपिआ जा तेरा बंदा ॥
Jā ṯū merai val hai ṯā kiā muhcẖẖanḏā.
Ŧuḏẖ sabẖ kicẖẖ maino saupiā jā ṯerā banḏā.
🌿 Meaning (English):
When You are on my side, Lord, what do I need to worry about? You entrusted everything to me when I became Your servant.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਂ, ਤਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਤਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ। ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
हे प्रभु! जब आप मेरे साथ हैं, तब मुझे किसी और का सहारा क्यों चाहिए? जब मैं आपका सेवक बन जाता हूँ, तब आप सब कुछ मेरे हवाले कर देते हैं।
💫 Reflection:
This beautiful verse is a reminder of the strength that comes from complete faith in Waheguru. Much of our worry comes from believing that everything depends on us. We try to control outcomes, protect our future, and carry burdens that are too heavy for one person alone.
Gurbani teaches a different path: trust over fear. When we become "ਤੇਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ" (Your servant), we place our lives in the care of the Divine. This does not mean we stop making efforts; rather, it means we stop being consumed by anxiety over results.
The person who truly trusts Waheguru walks through challenges with confidence, knowing that the One who created the universe is guiding every step. Faith does not remove difficulties, but it removes the feeling of facing them alone.

Leave your worries at the feet of Waheguru and focus on doing your best. Where there is faith, fear begins to fade.
