✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 2 ✨
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲਾ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
ਕਰਮੀ ਆਵੈ ਕਪੜਾ ਨਦਰੀ ਮੋਖੁ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਏਵੈ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਿਆਰੁ ॥
Amrit vela sach nao vadiāī vichār.
Karmi āvai kapṛā nadrī mokh duār.
Nānak evai jāṇīai sabh āpe sachiyār.
🌿 Meaning:
In the Amrit Vela (early morning), meditate on the True Name and reflect on His greatness. By past actions, this body is obtained; by His Grace, the gate of liberation is found. O Nanak, understand this: the True One Himself is everything.
💫 Reflection:
Guru Sahib gives us a complete spiritual foundation in just a few lines. The day begins with Amrit Vela — a time when the mind is शांत (peaceful) and most receptive. Starting the day with Naam and reflection sets the direction of our thoughts and actions.
But Guru Sahib also balances effort and grace. Our actions (karam) shape our journey, yet liberation (mokh) is not achieved by effort alone — it comes through nadar (Divine Grace). This keeps us grounded, free from ego, and filled with humility.
Finally, the deepest truth: everything is Waheguru Himself. When we truly realise this, separation fades. Life is no longer “mine vs yours” — everything becomes His play. This awareness brings peace, acceptance, and spiritual clarity.
