✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 2 ✨
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲਾ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
ਕਰਮੀ ਆਵੈ ਕਪੜਾ ਨਦਰੀ ਮੋਖੁ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਏਵੈ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਿਆਰੁ ॥
अम्रित वेला सचु नाउ वडिआई वीचारु ॥
करमी आवै कपड़ा नदरी मोखु दुआरु ॥
नानक एवै जाणीऐ सभु आपे सचिआरु ॥
Amriṯ velā sacẖ nāo vadiāī vīcẖār.
Karmī āvai kapṛā naḏrī mokẖ ḏuār.
Nānak evai jāṇīai sabẖ āpe sacẖiār.
🌿 Meaning (English):
In the Amrit Vela, the ambrosial hours before dawn, meditate on the True Name and reflect upon His greatness. Through our actions we receive this human body, but it is through Divine Grace that the door of liberation is found. O Nanak, know that the True One Himself pervades all.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ):
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ। ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਦੇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਖੁਲ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਲੈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸੱਚਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਵੱਸ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
अमृत वेले सच्चे नाम का सिमरन करो और प्रभु की महिमा का चिंतन करो। कर्मों के अनुसार मनुष्य शरीर मिलता है, परन्तु मुक्ति का द्वार केवल प्रभु की कृपा से प्राप्त होता है। हे नानक! जान लो कि सर्वत्र वही सच्चा प्रभु विद्यमान है।
💫 Reflection:
Guru Sahib begins Japji Sahib by highlighting the importance of Amrit Vela — a time when the mind is calm and most receptive to Divine connection. Starting the day with Naam Simran and reflection on Waheguru's greatness brings clarity, peace, and spiritual strength.
This shabad reminds us that while human effort is important, true liberation comes through Divine Grace. By combining sincere effort with humility and devotion, we gradually move closer to the Creator and experience deeper inner peace.
