📝 Description

The V20S Stainless Steel Sikh Kara is an attractive two-tone Kada featuring three decorative brass lines set into its smooth, flat stainless steel profile.

The polished silver-tone stainless steel body contrasts beautifully with the three gold/brass-tone lines, creating a distinctive yet understated design suitable for both traditional Sikh wear and everyday contemporary styling.

At approximately 8.5mm wide and 6.6mm thick, with a weight of approximately 75–95g depending on size, the V20S provides a substantial feel on the wrist without being excessively heavy.

Crafted in Sri Amritsar Sahib, Punjab, this Kara is available in multiple inner-diameter sizes and is suitable for Singh, Kaur, men and women.

The smooth inner surface is designed for comfortable everyday wear, while the three-line detailing gives this design its distinctive identity.

🪯 Sikh Significance

The Kara is one of the Five Kakars (Panj Kakaar / 5Ks) associated with the Khalsa tradition established by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Vaisakhi in 1699.

The Five Kakars are Kesh, Kangha, Kara, Kachera and Kirpan.

The continuous circular form of the Kara is traditionally associated with:

• Remembrance of Waheguru

• Sikh identity and discipline

• Commitment to righteous actions

• Unity and continuity

• Connection with the Guru's teachings

The V20S combines this traditional circular form with a decorative three brass-line design.

📏 Size Guide

All sizes shown in the variation menu are the INNER DIAMETER of the Kara in centimetres.

For the most accurate measurement:

  1. Take an existing Kara that fits comfortably.
  2. Place it flat on a level surface.
  3. Measure straight across the centre.
  4. Measure from one inside edge to the opposite inside edge.
  5. Do not include the thickness of the metal.
  6. Select the closest available inner-diameter size.

As this is a solid closed Kara, selecting the correct size is important because the bracelet must comfortably pass over your hand and knuckles.

🧽 Care & Maintenance

The main body of the V20S is made from stainless steel, which provides good resistance to everyday corrosion and maintains its polished appearance under normal use.

The decorative lines are brass, which naturally behaves differently from stainless steel.

Over time, brass may darken, tarnish or develop a natural patina. This is normal and does not mean the Kara is defective.

For routine care:

• Wipe with a clean, soft cloth or kitchen towel

• Keep reasonably clean and dry

• Brass detailing may occasionally require an appropriate brass polish

• Products such as Brasso may be used according to the manufacturer's instructions

• Avoid excessive or aggressive polishing

⚠️ Important Information & Protective Disclaimer

This Kara combines stainless steel and brass, and these materials naturally behave differently over time.

The stainless steel body offers good corrosion resistance under normal everyday conditions. The brass accent lines may naturally oxidise, tarnish, darken or develop a patina, particularly following exposure to moisture, perspiration, cosmetics or environmental conditions. This is a normal characteristic of brass and is not automatically a manufacturing defect.

These Karas are traditionally manufactured and finished in Amritsar. Individual pieces may therefore show minor grinding marks, polishing lines, small scratches, tiny dents, tool marks, joint/finishing marks, minute holes or slight variations in shape, dimensions and surface finish resulting from forming, shaping, polishing and finishing.

Measurements and weights are approximate and vary according to size and individual manufacture. Please check the required inner diameter carefully before ordering.

Colour may vary slightly due to photography, camera flash, lighting, reflections and individual screen settings.
