ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਵੇਲਾ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਉ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ ਕਰਮੀ ਆਵੈ ਕਪੜਾ ਨਦਰੀ ਮੋਖੁ ਦੁਆਰੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਏਵੈ ਜਾਣੀਐ ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ਸਚਿਆਰੁ ॥   अम्रित वेला सचु नाउ वडिआई वीचारु ॥ करमी आवै कपड़ा नदरी मोखु दुआरु ॥ नानक एवै जाणीऐ सभु आपे सचिआरु ॥   Amriṯ velā sacẖ nāo vadiāī vīcẖār. ਜੇਤੇ ਦਾਣੇ ਅੰਨ ਕੇ ਜੀਆ ਬਾਝੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਜੀਉ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥   जेते दाणे अंन के जीआ बाझु न कोइ ॥पहिला पाणी जीउ है जितु हरिआ सभु कोइ ॥   Jeṯe ḏāṇe ann ke jīā bājẖ na koe. Pahilā pāṇī jīo hai jiṯ hariā sabẖ koe.   As many as are the grains of corn, none is without life. ਡਾਲੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਨਿਹਫਲੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ ਅੰਧੀ ਕੰਮੀ ਅੰਧ ਸਜਾਇ ॥ ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅੰਧਾ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਕਾ ਕੀੜਾ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਮਾਹਿ ਪਚਾਇ ॥   डाली लागै निहफलु जाइ ॥ अंधीं कमी अंध सजाइ ॥ मनमुखु अंधा ठउर न पाइ ॥  बिसटा का कीड़ा बिसटा माहि पचाइ ॥   Dālī lāgai nihfal jāe. Aʼnḏẖīʼn kammī anḏẖ sajāe. Manmukẖ anḏẖā ṯẖaur na pāe. Bistā kā kīṛā bistā māhi pacẖāe.   One who is attached to the branch, does not receive the fruits. For blind actions, blind punishment is received. The blind, self-willed manmukh finds no place of rest.
