✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 7 Sawan | 22 July, Wednesday | SGGS Ang 678 ✨
ਅਸਥਿਰ ਰਹਹੁ ਡੋਲਹੁ ਮਤ ਕਬਹੂ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਅਧਾਰਿ ॥
ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਭੂ ਮੰਡਲ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਦਰਬਾਰ ॥
Asthir rahhu dolahu mat kabhū gur kai bachan adhār.
Jai jai kār sagal bhū mandal mukh ūjal darbār.
🌿 Meaning (English):
Remain firm and steady, and never waver. Let the Guru's Word be your support. Then you shall be honoured throughout the world, and your face shall shine with honour in the Court of the Lord.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਅਡੋਲ ਰਹੋ। ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੀਵਨ ਜੀਵੇਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਆਦਰ ਪਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੁਖ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
गुरु की वाणी को अपना आधार बनाकर दृढ़ और अडिग रहो। यदि तुम गुरु के उपदेश के अनुसार जीवन जीओगे, तो संसार में सम्मान प्राप्त करोगे और प्रभु के दरबार में भी तुम्हारा मुख उज्ज्वल होगा।
💫 Reflection:
Life often presents situations that test our faith, patience, and determination. At such moments, the mind can easily become uncertain and distracted. Guru Sahib reminds us that our greatest strength is found in remaining steady and making Gurbani the foundation of our lives.
When our decisions are guided by the Guru's teachings rather than by fear, anger, or worldly pressure, we develop inner stability. Challenges may still come, but they no longer shake our faith because our confidence rests in the eternal wisdom of the Guru.
This Shabad also reminds us that true honour is not measured by worldly recognition alone. The greatest success is to live a life that pleases Waheguru. A person who lives truthfully, humbly, and according to Gurbani earns respect not only among people but also in the Divine Court.
