✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 4 Sawan | 19 July, Sunday | SGGS Ang 347 ✨
ਸੋ ਦਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੇਹਾ ਸੋ ਘਰੁ ਕੇਹਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਬਹਿ ਸਰਬ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲੇ ॥
ਵਾਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਦ ਅਨੇਕ ਅਸੰਖਾ ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਾਵਣਹਾਰੇ ॥
ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਗ ਪਰੀ ਸਿਉ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗਾਵਣਹਾਰੇ ॥
So ḏar ṯerā kehā so ghar kehā jiṯ bahi sarab samĥāle.
Vāje ṯere nāḏ anek asaṅkhā keṯe ṯere vāvaṇhāre.
Keṯe ṯere rāg parī sio kahīahi keṯe ṯere gāvaṇhāre.
🌿 Meaning (English):
What is that Divine Court, and what is that Home from which You lovingly care for all creation? Countless musical instruments resound there, countless musicians perform, and endless melodies and ragas are sung in Your praise.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਘਰ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਉੱਥੇ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਸਾਜ਼ ਵੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਰਾਗ ਗਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਦਾ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
हे प्रभु! वह आपका दिव्य दरबार और वह धाम कैसा है जहाँ से आप सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि की देखभाल करते हैं? वहाँ अनगिनत वाद्ययंत्र बज रहे हैं, असंख्य राग गाए जा रहे हैं और अनगिनत भक्त आपकी महिमा का गुणगान कर रहे हैं।
💫 Reflection:
This opening verse of So Dar invites us to reflect on the greatness of Waheguru and the vastness of His creation. Guru Nanak Dev Ji reminds us that the entire universe is engaged in glorifying the Creator. Every sound of nature, every movement of creation, and every heartbeat becomes part of a continuous hymn of praise.
Human beings often imagine that worship is limited to a particular place or time. Gurbani expands our vision by revealing that all of creation is a Divine congregation. The stars, the wind, the rivers, the birds, and every living being exist within the harmony of the Creator's command.
When we recognise this, humility naturally arises. We realise that we are not separate from creation but a small part of Waheguru's magnificent design. Our role is to join this eternal song by living truthfully, serving selflessly, and remembering Naam with gratitude.
