✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 29 Vaisakh | 12 May, Tuesday | SGGS Ang 1 ✨
ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Ik oaṅkār sat nām kartā purakh nirbha-o nirvair akāl mūrat ajūnī saibhaṅ gur parsād.
🌿 Meaning (English):
There is One Universal Creator God. Truth is His Name. He is the Creator, without fear, without hatred, beyond time, beyond birth, self-existent, and realized through the Guru’s grace.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਇਕ ਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਰਚਨਹਾਰ ਹੈ, ਨਿਡਰ ਹੈ, ਵੈਰ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ, ਅਕਾਲ ਹੈ, ਜਨਮ-ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
एक ही परमात्मा है। उसका नाम सत्य है। वह सृष्टि का रचयिता है, निर्भय है, निरवैर है, काल से परे है, जन्म-मरण से रहित है और गुरु की कृपा से प्राप्त होता है।
💫 Reflection:
Mool Mantar is the foundation of Sikh philosophy—a complete description of Waheguru in just a few words. It reminds us who the Divine truly is: beyond fear, beyond hatred, beyond time and form.
When we reflect on these qualities, we are also guided on how to live. If Waheguru is Nirbhau (without fear) and Nirvair (without hatred), then we too are encouraged to rise above fear and negativity in our own lives.
This is not just a description—it is a direction. A path to become more truthful, fearless, and compassionate. Through Guru’s grace, we begin to understand and experience this reality within ourselves.
