ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਆਪਣੈ ॥
ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ਜਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਖਾ ਸਾਮੑਣੇ ॥
अंदरि सचा नेहु लाइआ प्रीतम आपणै ॥
तनु मनु होइ निहालु जा गुरु देखा साम्हणे ॥
Anḏar sacẖā nehu lāiā parīṯam āpṇai.
Ṯan man hoe nihāl jā gur ḏekẖā sāmĥṇe.
🌿 English Meaning
Deep within myself, I have enshrined true love for my Beloved. My body and mind are filled with bliss when I behold my Guru before me.
🌼 ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਰਥ
ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲਈ ਸੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰਾ ਤਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਪਰਮ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

अपने हृदय के भीतर मैंने अपने प्रिय प्रभु के लिए सच्चा प्रेम बसाया है। जब मैं अपने गुरु को अपने सामने देखता हूँ, मेरा तन और मन परम आनंद से भर जाते हैं।
✨ Reflection
Today's Hukamnama takes us into the heart of Prem — genuine love for the Divine.
Guru Sahib says:
“ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਆਪਣੈ ॥”
True love for the Beloved has been established within.
This is important because Gurbani repeatedly turns our attention from outward appearance towards our inner spiritual state. We may speak about Waheguru, perform religious practices and know many teachings, but Guru Sahib invites us towards something even deeper — a loving relationship with the Divine.
True spiritual love cannot simply be displayed outwardly. It grows quietly within the heart.
When love for Waheguru deepens, Naam no longer feels merely like an obligation. Gurbani becomes something the heart longs to hear. Ardas becomes a sincere conversation. Seva becomes an expression of love rather than a duty.
The second line beautifully describes the result:
“ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ਜਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਦੇਖਾ ਸਾਮੑਣੇ ॥”
The body and mind become filled with joy when the Guru is experienced before us.
This joy is deeper than temporary happiness created by possessions or circumstances. Worldly happiness often depends upon something going according to our wishes. Spiritual joy arises from connection.
Our circumstances may remain imperfect. Difficulties may still exist. Yet when the mind becomes anchored in Gurbani and Naam, something within begins to change.
Restlessness can soften into peace. Fear can become trust. Loneliness can become the awareness of Divine presence.
To “see the Guru before us” can also remind us to live with constant awareness of Guru Sahib's guidance. Before speaking, acting or making decisions, we can ask ourselves:
Would this action reflect what Gurbani is teaching me?
In this way, Guru Sahib does not remain separate from everyday life. The Guru becomes our guide through it.

Spend a few quiet moments with Gurbani today without asking Waheguru for anything.
Simply remember Him with love.
Let your Ardas be gratitude. Let your Simran be affection. Let your heart say:
ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਚਾ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਆਪਣੈ ॥
