People become anxious when something unexpected happens. This is the way of the world, O Nanak; nothing is stable or permanent.

✨ 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Today's Hukamnama offers powerful wisdom for moments of worry and uncertainty.
Change can unsettle us because the mind wants people, circumstances and comforts to remain as they are. Yet Guru Sahib reminds us that change is not an exception to life — 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.
Nothing worldly remains permanently fixed. Happiness changes, difficulties change, relationships change and circumstances change.
Understanding this does not mean ignoring genuine problems. It means refusing to let worry consume the present. Instead of asking, “Why is this changing?”, Gurbani encourages us to develop faith, acceptance and trust in Waheguru's Hukam.
🙏 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆:
If something is worrying you, ask: “Can I act on this?” If yes, take the right step. If it is beyond your control, place it before Waheguru through Ardas and protect your peace.

✨ Reflection
Today's Hukamnama speaks directly to one of the most common struggles of the human mind — Chinta, worry and anxiety about changing circumstances.
Guru Sahib asks:
“ਚਿੰਤਾ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਜੀਐ ਜੋ ਅਨਹੋਨੀ ਹੋਇ ॥”
Why become consumed by worry over something that belongs to the natural course of life?
The next line explains why:
“ਇਹੁ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਕੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਥਿਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥”
This is the way of the world; nothing here remains permanently fixed.
Much of our worry comes from expecting permanence from a world built upon change.
We want good circumstances to remain forever. We want relationships never to change. We want health, possessions, success and security to stay exactly as they are.
When something changes, the mind asks, “Why is this happening?”
Guru Sahib gently changes the question.
Change itself should not surprise us. It is woven into worldly existence.
Day becomes night. Seasons change. Children grow. Bodies age. Success and difficulty come and go. People enter and leave different stages of our lives.
Recognising impermanence does not mean becoming emotionally detached or pretending that painful events do not hurt.
Nor does Gurbani tell us to ignore problems that require action.
Rather, this wisdom helps us distinguish between responsibility and worry.
If something can be improved, take action.
If an apology is needed, make it. If a problem needs solving, work on it. If someone needs support, help them.
But once we have done what lies within our responsibility, endlessly worrying about what we cannot control does not change the outcome.
That is where Ardas, Hukam and trust become powerful.
We place before Waheguru what we cannot carry alone.
The world may remain uncertain, but the mind can gradually become more stable through Naam and Gurbani.
True peace does not require life to stop changing.
True peace grows when our connection with Waheguru becomes stronger than our fear of change.
🙏 Message for Today
If something is worrying you today, ask yourself two questions:
Can I do something meaningful about it?
If yes, take the right action.
Is it beyond my control?
Then place it before Waheguru through Ardas and ask for the strength to accept Hukam.
May Guru Sahib bless us with wisdom to act where we can, acceptance where we cannot, and a peaceful mind anchored in Naam through every change of life. 🙏

✨ Reflection
Today's Hukamnama speaks directly about companionship, difficult times and where we place our deepest trust.
Guru Sahib begins with an observation that many people experience during life:
“ਸੁਖ ਮੈ ਬਹੁ ਸੰਗੀ ਭਏ ਦੁਖ ਮੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥”
During times of happiness, prosperity and success, companionship can be plentiful.
People may enjoy being around us when circumstances are comfortable. We may feel surrounded by friends, acquaintances and supporters.
But difficult circumstances can change relationships.
When hardship, loss or uncertainty enters life, some of those who once seemed close may no longer remain beside us.
This does not mean that every human relationship is false.
Family, friendship and sincere Sangat are among life's greatest blessings. There are people who remain loyal through tremendous difficulties, and Gurbani inspires us to value such relationships deeply.
But even the most loving human companion has limitations.
No person can remove every difficulty from our life. No human being can remain physically beside us forever.
Guru Sahib therefore directs our consciousness towards something deeper:
“ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨਾ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਇ ॥”
O mind, remember the Lord; He is your support in the end.
The message is not to stop loving people. It is to love people without making them the foundation of our spiritual security.
That foundation belongs with Waheguru.
When the mind becomes connected with Naam, our peace no longer depends entirely upon who stays and who leaves.
There is also an important lesson about our own behaviour.
Instead of only asking:
“Who will remain with me when I suffer?”
We can ask:
“Will I remain beside someone else when they are suffering?”
True Sangat is revealed not only in celebrations but also through compassion during hardship.
A phone call, a message, listening without judgement or simply remaining present can become a meaningful form of Seva.
🙏 Message for Today
Value those who have remained sincere with you through difficult times.
Be grateful for them.
Then consider whether someone else needs your support today.
Above all, strengthen the relationship that remains beyond changing worldly circumstances:
your relationship with Waheguru.
May Guru Sahib bless us with sincere Sangat, compassion towards others, love for Naam and unwavering trust in Waheguru as our eternal support. 🙏

Today's Hukamnama challenges two things that quietly steal our peace: 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
We compare our lives with others—their success, possessions or opportunities—and allow jealousy to enter the heart. Guru Sahib asks us to remember how temporary all worldly things are.
Life passes quickly. What seems permanent today can change tomorrow. Maya becomes dangerous when temporary things occupy our heart so completely that we forget Naam and Waheguru.

✨ Reflection
Today's Hukamnama addresses two powerful forces that can quietly disturb our inner peace: envy and attachment.
Guru Sahib begins with a direct instruction:
“ਛਾਡਿ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਤਾਤਿ ਮੂੜੇ ॥”
Give up jealousy and envy of others.
Comparison is one of the easiest ways to lose gratitude.
We may look at another person's wealth, success, family, possessions, opportunities or recognition and begin asking why they have something that we do not.
The moment comparison takes control, we stop seeing our own blessings.
Gurbani redirects our attention towards a much larger truth:
“ਈਹਾ ਬਸਨਾ ਰਾਤਿ ਮੂੜੇ ॥”
Our stay here is brief — like staying somewhere for only a night.
This image completely changes the importance we give to worldly competition.
If our stay is temporary, why spend so much of it resenting what another person possesses?
Why allow jealousy to damage relationships, disturb our peace or occupy the mind that could instead remember Waheguru?
Guru Sahib then warns:
“ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਮਾਤੇ ਤੈ ਉਠਿ ਚਲਨਾ ॥”
Even while intoxicated with Maya, eventually we must leave.
Money, possessions and worldly success are not automatically wrong. They become spiritually dangerous when we begin treating temporary things as though they are our permanent identity.
The final line gives us another powerful image:
“ਰਾਚਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਤੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੁਪਨਾ ॥”
We become absorbed in something resembling a dream.
A dream can feel completely real while we are experiencing it. Yet when we awaken, everything we were desperately holding onto disappears.
Gurbani uses this awareness not to make us reject life, but to help us live it with the correct priorities.
Work hard. Build a good life. Fulfil your responsibilities. Enjoy Waheguru's blessings.
But do not sacrifice your peace by constantly comparing your journey with someone else's.
Their path is theirs.
Your responsibility is to walk your own path with gratitude, honesty, Seva, Naam and remembrance of Waheguru.
🙏 Message for Today
Notice when comparison enters your mind today.
Instead of asking:
“Why do they have what I don't?”
Try asking:
“What has Waheguru already blessed me with?”
Be grateful for another day, another breath and another opportunity to grow spiritually.
Let go of envy. Someone else's blessing does not diminish yours.
May Guru Sahib bless us with contentment, gratitude, freedom from jealousy and the wisdom to remain connected with Waheguru rather than becoming lost in temporary Maya. 🙏
