✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 2 ✨
ਗਾਵੀਐ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਮਨਿ ਰਖੀਐ ਭਾਉ ॥
ਦੁਖੁ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਘਰਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਇ ॥
गावीऐ सुणीऐ मनि रखीऐ भाउ ॥
दुखु परहरि सुखु घरि लै जाइ ॥
Gaaveeai suṇeeai man rakheeai bhaao.
Ḋukh parhar sukh ghar lai jaae.
🌿 Meaning (English):
Sing His Praises, listen to His Glories, and keep His love enshrined within your heart. Your pain shall depart, and peace and happiness shall come to dwell within you.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਗਾਓ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਸਾਓ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਣਗੇ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
प्रभु की महिमा गाओ, उसे सुनो और अपने मन में उसका प्रेम बसाओ। ऐसा करने से दुख दूर हो जाते हैं और सुख तथा शांति जीवन में आ जाती है।
💫 Reflection:
These beautiful words appear on the very opening pages of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and reveal a simple yet profound path to inner peace. The Guru does not ask us to search for happiness in wealth, status, or worldly achievements. Instead, the path begins with remembrance, listening, and love for the Divine.
When we fill our minds with Gurbani and keep Waheguru's love in our hearts, our perspective changes. Challenges may still exist, but they no longer dominate our thoughts. The mind becomes calmer, the heart becomes lighter, and hope replaces worry.
Gurbani teaches that true happiness is not something we acquire from the world—it is something that blossoms within when we remain connected to the Divine through love and remembrance.
