ਸੁਖ ਮੈ ਬਹੁ ਸੰਗੀ ਭਏ ਦੁਖ ਮੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨਾ ਅੰਤਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਇ ॥
सुख मै बहु संगी भए दुख मै संगि न कोइ ॥
कहु नानक हरि भजु मना अंति सहाई होइ ॥
Sukẖ mai baho sangī bẖae ḏukẖ mai sang na koe.
Kaho Nānak har bẖaj manā anṯ sahāī hoe.
In good times, there are many companions around, but in bad times, there is no one at all. Says Nanak, vibrate, and meditate on the Lord; He shall be your only Help and Support in the end.
ਲਹਿਰ ਬਹਿਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਬੇਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਬੇਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਦਾ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰ, ਜੋ ਅਖੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਹਾਈ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
