✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 2 ✨
ਗਾਵੀਐ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਮਨਿ ਰਖੀਐ ਭਾਉ ॥
ਦੁਖੁ ਪਰਹਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਘਰਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਇ ॥
गावीऐ सुणीऐ मनि रखीऐ भाउ ॥
दुखु परहरि सुखु घरि लै जाइ ॥
Gāvīai suṇīai man rakẖīai bẖāo.
Ḏukẖ parhar sukẖ gẖar lai jāe.
🌿 Meaning (English):
Sing of the Lord, listen to His praises, and keep love for Him within your heart. In this way, suffering is overcome and peace is brought into the home of the heart.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣੀਏ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੂਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
प्रभु के प्रेम को अपने हृदय में बसाकर उनकी महिमा का गायन करें और प्रेम से सुनें। ऐसा करने से मन के दुःख दूर होते हैं और हृदय में सच्चा सुख और शांति आती है।
💫 Reflection:
These beautiful words from Japji Sahib show us a simple path towards inner peace: sing, listen, and hold Divine love within the heart.
Gurbani is not meant only to be read with the eyes or repeated with the lips. Guru Sahib asks us to listen deeply and allow its message to enter the mind. When Gurbani is received with love, it gradually changes our thoughts, our reactions, and the way we experience life.
The “home” in this Shabad can also be understood as our inner being. When Naam and love for Waheguru settle within us, worry, anger, and restlessness begin to lose their hold, making room for contentment and peace.
