The Wheel of the Year series is inspired by the pagan wheel of the year. Each mala is named after one of the eight sabbats in the wheel. The sabbats, or holidays, serve as times to reflect on and celebrate different segments of the year. Each sabbat holds a special energy and message which is channeled through each according mala. Meaning that you can work with the energy of this celebration and the crystals that correspond at any time of year.
All our malas are hand knotted with 8mm beads and nylon thread, our tassles are also nylon. We chose to use this material instead of the traditional silk to honour the silk worms and create a vegan alternative to the traditional mala bead necklace.
