✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 22 Harh | 6 July, Monday | SGGS Ang 1245 ✨
ਅਕਲੀ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਅਕਲੀ ਪਾਈਐ ਮਾਨੁ ॥
ਅਕਲੀ ਪੜੑਿ ਕੈ ਬੁਝੀਐ ਅਕਲੀ ਕੀਚੈ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
Aklee sāhib séveeae aklee pāeeae mān.
Aklee paṛh kai bujheeae aklee keechai dān.
🌿 Meaning (English):
Through true wisdom, we serve our Lord and Master; through wisdom, honour is earned. Wisdom helps us understand what we learn and inspires us to use our resources wisely, including giving in charity.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਾਲ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਆਦਰ-ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਹੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਾਲ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਗਿਆਨ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਨ ਤੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
सच्ची बुद्धि से मनुष्य प्रभु की सेवा करता है और सम्मान प्राप्त करता है। सही समझ से प्राप्त ज्ञान जीवन में उतरता है और मनुष्य को विवेकपूर्वक दान और सेवा करने की प्रेरणा देता है।
💫 Reflection:
Gurbani teaches that true wisdom is far more than acquiring information. Real wisdom transforms our character, shapes our decisions, and draws us closer to Waheguru. Knowledge stored only in the mind has limited value, but wisdom lived through our actions becomes a blessing to ourselves and others.
The Guru reminds us that wisdom is reflected in how we serve, how we treat people, and how we use the gifts we have received. A wise person is humble, compassionate, and generous—not because they seek recognition, but because they understand that everything belongs to Waheguru.
In today's world, we have access to more information than ever before, yet Gurbani encourages us to seek understanding rather than mere knowledge. When our learning is guided by the Guru's wisdom, it leads to kindness, honest living, selfless service, and a life that honours the Divine.
