ਨਿਸਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਡੋਲਤ ਨੀਤ ॥
ਕੋਟਨ ਮੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੋਊ ਨਾਰਾਇਨੁ ਜਿਹ ਚੀਤਿ ॥
निसि दिनु माइआ कारने प्रानी डोलत नीत ॥
कोटन मै नानक कोऊ नाराइनु जिह चीति ॥
Transliteration
Nis din maaiaa kaarne paraanee dolat neet.
Kotan mae Naanak kooo naaraain jih cheet.
Meaning
Night and day, for the sake of Maya, the mortal wanders constantly. Among millions, O Nanak, there is scarcely anyone who keeps the Lord in their consciousness.

ਰੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਵਸਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

🌿 Today’s Reflection
Much of human life is spent chasing Maya — wealth, status, possessions, and recognition. Day and night the mind runs after temporary things, believing they will bring lasting happiness.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji gently reminds us that among millions, only a rare soul keeps Waheguru in their heart and consciousness.
This verse invites us to pause and reflect:
• What occupies our thoughts throughout the day?
• Are we chasing temporary gains or nurturing eternal connection?
• Do we remember the Creator in the middle of daily life?
The world will always pull the mind outward, but Naam brings the mind inward toward truth.
When remembrance of Waheguru becomes part of our daily rhythm, wandering stops and peace begins.
