Dālī lāgai nihfal jāe. Aʼnḏẖīʼn kammī anḏẖ sajāe.
Manmukẖ anḏẖā ṯẖaur na pāe.
Bistā kā kīṛā bistā māhi pacẖāe.
One attached merely to the branch receives no fruit. Actions performed in spiritual blindness bring suffering. The self-willed Manmukh finds no lasting peace and remains trapped in impurity.
Today's Hukamnama offers a powerful lesson about spiritual awareness and the consequences of our actions.
The branch and fruit remind us that outward religious practices alone cannot replace genuine inner transformation.
We may appear devoted, yet if our thoughts remain controlled by ego, anger, greed and attachment, we miss the deeper purpose of Gurbani.
Guru Sahib uses strong imagery to awaken us from spiritual blindness, not to encourage us to judge others.
The path of the Gurmukh is one of humility, truthful living, self-reflection and remembrance of Waheguru.
Through Naam and the Guru's wisdom, we can move beyond harmful habits towards a more meaningful life.
Do not merely appear spiritual. Let Gurbani transform your thoughts, choices and actions. Seek the fruit of wisdom, not just its outward appearance.
