ਜਉ ਸੁਖ ਕਉ ਚਾਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਨਿ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਲੇਹ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਨਿ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ਦੁਰਲਭ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਦੇਹ ॥
जउ सुख कउ चाहै सदा सरनि राम की लेह ॥
कहु नानक सुनि रे मना दुरलभ मानुख देह ॥
Transliteration
Jao sukh kao chaahae sadaa saran raam kee leh.
Kaho Naanak sun re manaa durlabh maanukh deh.
Meaning
If you desire lasting peace, then seek the Sanctuary of the Lord. Says Nanak, listen O mind: this human life is rare and precious.

ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਲੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੁਣ ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਦੇਹ ਬੜੀ ਦੁਰਲੱਭ ਹੈ।

Everyone is searching for peace —
but most look for it in temporary places.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji gives a simple and powerful truth:
True peace is found only in the shelter of Waheguru.
We chase comfort in wealth, relationships, success —
yet the mind remains restless.
Why?
Because lasting peace does not come from the world,
it comes from connection.
This human life is a rare opportunity:
• To remember Waheguru
• To walk the Guru’s path
• To realise truth
If we miss this chance, time will pass — but the purpose remains unfulfilled.
Seek the Sanctuary.
Anchor the mind in Naam.
That is where peace lives.
