✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 788 ✨
ਤੁਰਦੇ ਕਉ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਉਡਤੇ ਕਉ ਉਡਤਾ ॥
ਜੀਵਤੇ ਕਉ ਜੀਵਤਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਮੂਏ ਕਉ ਮੂਆ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕੀਆ ॥
तुरदे कउ तुरदा मिलै उडते कउ उडता ॥
जीवते कउ जीवता मिलै मूए कउ मूआ ॥
नानक सो सालाहीऐ जिनि कारणु कीआ ॥
Ŧurḏe kao ṯurḏā milai udṯe kao udṯā.
Jīvṯe kao jīvṯā milai mūe kao mūā.
Nānak so salāhīai jin kāraṇ kīā.
🌿 Meaning (English):
Those who walk together associate with those who walk the same path; those who fly associate with those who fly. The living unite with the living, and the dead with the dead. O Nanak, praise the One who created all creation.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ):
ਟੁਰਨ ਫਿਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਟੁਰਨ ਫਿਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ-ਜੋਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
चलने वाले चलने वालों के साथ और उड़ने वाले उड़ने वालों के साथ जुड़ते हैं। जीवित जीवितों के साथ और मृत मृतकों के साथ मिलते हैं। हे नानक! उस प्रभु की स्तुति करो जिसने सारी सृष्टि की रचना की है।
💫 Reflection:
Guru Sahib reminds us that our company shapes our thoughts, habits, and spiritual direction. We naturally become influenced by the people we spend time with. Good company inspires us towards Naam, wisdom, and positive actions, while negative influences can pull us away from our higher purpose.
The shabad encourages us to seek the company of those who inspire spiritual growth and, above all, to keep our focus on the Creator. When our lives revolve around remembrance of Waheguru, we gradually develop qualities that bring peace, humility, and inner strength.
