✨ Daily Sangrand Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 134 ✨
ਭਾਦੁਇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਣੀਆ ਦੂਜੈ ਲਗਾ ਹੇਤੁ ॥
ਲਖ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਜਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੇਤੁ ॥
भादुइ भरमि भुलाणीआ दूजै लगा हेतु ॥
लख सीगार बणाइआ कारजि नाही केतु ॥
Bẖāḏue bẖaram bẖulāṇīā ḏūjai lagā heṯ.
Lakẖ sīgār baṇāiā kāraj nāhī keṯ.
🌿 Meaning (English):
In the month of Bhaadon, one becomes lost in doubt through attachment to duality. Even thousands of outward adornments are of no spiritual benefit when the heart remains separated from the Divine.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਭਾਦੋਂ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਭਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਟਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਮਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਲੱਖਾਂ ਹਾਰ-ਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹਨ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
भादों के महीने में वह जीव भ्रम में भटकता है जिसका मन परमात्मा के बजाय माया और द्वैत से जुड़ा रहता है। चाहे वह लाखों बाहरी श्रृंगार कर ले, प्रभु से जुड़ाव के बिना वे आध्यात्मिक रूप से व्यर्थ हैं।
💫 Reflection:
Today is Sangrand—the beginning of the Punjabi month of Bhaadon. Guru Sahib uses this new month to turn our attention from outward appearance towards the condition of the heart.
We may decorate our lives with possessions, achievements, status, and appearance, yet none of these can replace a genuine connection with Waheguru. Gurbani reminds us that true beauty is found within: in humility, Naam, truthful living, compassion, and love for the Divine.
As Bhaadon begins, let us use Sangrand as an opportunity for inner renewal. Instead of asking only what more we can acquire, we can ask: Is my heart becoming closer to Waheguru?
