📖 Description

A beautifully detailed Sikh Kara featuring the sacred “Taati Vao Na Lagai” Gurbani Shabad, laser engraved around the outer circumference and framed by double twisted rope-style brass wire edges.

The combination of polished stainless steel, contrasting gold-tone brass detailing and Gurmukhi Gurbani creates a distinctive Sikh Kada suitable for everyday wear, religious occasions and meaningful gifting.

The inside is kept plain and smooth for comfortable wear, while the outer surface carries the engraved Gurbani.

This is a hand-assembled and hand-finished design. The stainless steel body and separate brass wire detailing are traditionally joined and finished during production. Because different metal components must be shaped, joined, soldered, ground and polished, visible joining points, solder areas, grinding marks and finishing variations are normal and inevitable characteristics of this style of handmade Kara.

Each piece can therefore have its own slight individual variations rather than the completely uniform finish associated with a single-piece machine-made bracelet.

🙏 Taati Vao Na Lagai Gurbani

The Kara features lines from the sacred Gurbani Shabad:

ਤਾਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥

Taati vaao na lagai paarbrahm sarnaaee

The hot wind does not even touch one who is under the protection of the Supreme Lord God.

ਚਉਗਿਰਦ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਾਰ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥

Chaugirad hamaarai raam kaar dukh lagai na bhaaee

On all four sides I am surrounded by the Lord's circle of protection; pain does not afflict me.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥

Satgur pooraa bhettiaa jin banat banaaee

I have met the Perfect True Guru, who has accomplished this.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਦੀਆ ਏਕਾ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥

Raam naam aoukhadh deeaa ekaa liv laaee

He has given me the medicine of the Lord's Name, and I enshrine love for the One Lord.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What is engraved on this Kara?

The outer circumference features the Taati Vao Na Lagai Gurbani Shabad in Gurmukhi.

What materials are used?

The main Kara is stainless steel with decorative twisted brass wire detailing along both edges.

Why can I see a joint or grinding mark?

This design is assembled and finished by hand. Separate metal components have to be shaped, joined, soldered, ground and polished. A visible joint, solder point, grinding line or finishing variation is therefore a normal characteristic of this construction.

Are all Karas exactly identical?

No. Because of the handmade and hand-finished production process, small differences in brass positioning, joining points, engraving appearance and surface finish can occur.

How are the sizes measured?

Sizes are the inner diameter of the Kara in centimetres.

Does the brass require maintenance?

Yes. Brass naturally changes tone through oxidation and contact with skin, moisture and the environment. Occasional suitable polishing can help restore its shine.

⚠️ Important Information & Protective Disclaimer

This Kara is a hand-assembled and hand-finished traditional design. The construction combines stainless steel with separate twisted brass wire components.

During production, different metal components must be formed, joined, soldered, ground and polished. As a result, visible joint lines, solder points, grinding marks, polishing marks, slight surface irregularities, small scratches, tool marks or differences around the joining areas may be present.

These characteristics are a normal and unavoidable part of this type of handmade construction and are not considered manufacturing defects.

Even handmade jewellery produced from materials such as precious metals can display joining or soldering points where separate components meet.

Brass naturally oxidises and may darken or change tone over time. Occasional polishing with a suitable brass polish such as Brasso may help maintain the desired appearance. Follow the polish manufacturer's instructions and avoid unnecessary contact with the engraved area.

Individual Karas may vary slightly in engraving depth, brass-wire positioning, finish and overall appearance. Measurements and weights are approximate and can vary between sizes.

Colour and metal tone may appear slightly different because of photography, lighting and individual screen settings.

Please measure an existing Kara carefully before ordering to select the correct inner diameter.

Some listing images may include an AI-generated presentation image. Please refer to the actual product photographs for the genuine item, finish, colour, dimensions and handmade characteristics.
