✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 523 ✨
ਜਿਉ ਜਿਉ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤਿਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਹੋਵਣਾ ॥
ਜਹ ਜਹ ਰਖਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਤਹ ਜਾਇ ਖੜੋਵਣਾ ॥
जिउ जिउ तेरा हुकमु तिवै तिउ होवणा ॥
जह जह रखहि आपि तह जाइ खड़ोवणा ॥
Jio jio ṯerā hukam ṯivai ṯio hovṇā.
Jah jah rakẖeh āp ṯah jāe khaṛovaṇā.
🌿 Meaning (English):
As is the Hukam (Divine Command) of the Lord, so things happen. Wherever the Lord Himself places us, there we must go and stand.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ):
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵਾਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
जैसा परमात्मा का हुक्म होता है, वैसा ही सब कुछ होता है। जहाँ जहाँ वह स्वयं हमें रखता है, वहीं जाकर हमें ठहरना पड़ता है।
💫 Reflection:
Guru Sahib reminds us that life unfolds according to the Divine Hukam. Human beings often try to control every outcome, yet many situations remain beyond our understanding. Gurbani teaches us that true peace comes when we accept Waheguru’s will with trust rather than resistance.
This does not mean giving up effort or responsibility. Instead, it means recognising that behind every success, delay, opportunity, or challenge lies a deeper divine wisdom. Sometimes we question why certain paths open while others close, but Waheguru sees far beyond what we can understand in the present moment.
When we accept Hukam with humility, the burden on the mind becomes lighter. Anxiety decreases because we begin to realise that we are not carrying life alone. Wherever Waheguru places us, He also provides the strength to stand there with courage and grace.

Trust the Divine Hukam — wherever Waheguru places you, He also gives you the strength to remain there.
