✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 670 ✨
ਸਭਨਾ ਕੀ ਤੂ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹ ॥
ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਖੁ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹ ॥
सभना की तू आस है मेरे पिआरे सभि तुझहि धिआवहि मेरे साह ॥
जिउ भावै तिउ रखु तू मेरे पिआरे सचु नानक के पातिसाह ॥
Sabẖnā kī ṯū ās hai mere piāre sabẖ ṯujẖėh ḏẖiāvahi mere sāh.
Jio bẖāvai ṯio rakẖ ṯū mere piāre sacẖ Nānak ke pāṯisāh.
🌿 Meaning (English):
You are the hope of all, O my Beloved; everyone meditates on You, O my King. As it pleases You, protect and preserve me, O my Beloved; You are the True King of Nanak.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਰਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ! ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈਂ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
हे मेरे प्यारे प्रभु! आप सभी जीवों की आशा और सहारा हैं और सभी आपका ही स्मरण करते हैं। जैसी आपकी रज़ा है, उसी प्रकार मेरी रक्षा करें। हे मेरे प्रिय! आप ही नानक के सच्चे बादशाह हैं।
💫 Reflection:
This beautiful Hukamnama reminds us where our deepest hope truly belongs. Throughout life, we naturally place expectations upon people, circumstances, possessions, and our own plans. Yet all of these can change.
Guru Sahib directs our heart towards the One who does not change—Waheguru, the hope and support of all.
The words “ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਖੁ” carry a particularly powerful lesson. Rather than demanding that Waheguru protect us only in the way we expect, we surrender ourselves to His wisdom: “As it pleases You, protect and preserve me.”
This is trust beyond conditions. We continue to make sincere efforts and fulfil our responsibilities, but we accept that Waheguru sees what we cannot see. His Hukam may not always follow our plans, yet our faith can remain steady.

Place your greatest hope in Waheguru. Make your Ardas, do your best, and trust that the True King knows how to guide and preserve you according to His Hukam.
