✨ **Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 731** ✨
ਡਾਲੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਨਿਹਫਲੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
ਅੰਧੀ ਕੰਮੀ ਅੰਧ ਸਜਾਇ ॥
ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅੰਧਾ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
ਬਿਸਟਾ ਕਾ ਕੀੜਾ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਮਾਹਿ ਪਚਾਇ ॥
डाली लागै निहफलु जाइ ॥
अंधीं कमी अंध सजाइ ॥
मनमुखु अंधा ठउर न पाइ ॥
बिसटा का कीड़ा बिसटा माहि पचाइ ॥
Dālī lāgai nihfal jāe.
Aʼnḏẖīʼn kammī anḏẖ sajāe.
Manmukẖ anḏẖā ṯẖaur na pāe.
Bistā kā kīṛā bistā māhi pacẖāe.
🌿 **Meaning (English):**
One who clings only to the branch instead of the root gains nothing. Blind actions bring blind consequences. The self-willed person finds no true peace and remains trapped in spiritual ignorance.
🌿 **ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):**
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਤਮਕ ਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਂਦਾ। ਅਗਿਆਨਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਕਰਮ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮਨਮੁਖ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਅਸਲੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ।
🌿 **अर्थ (Hindi):**
जो व्यक्ति जड़ को छोड़कर केवल शाखाओं से जुड़ा रहता है, वह आध्यात्मिक फल नहीं पाता। अज्ञान में किए गए कर्म दुःख का कारण बनते हैं। मनमुख को कभी सच्ची शांति नहीं मिलती।
💫 **Reflection:**
Guru Sahib uses a powerful image to remind us that **real spiritual growth comes from staying connected to the Source—Waheguru**. A branch cut off from its root cannot bear fruit. Likewise, a life disconnected from the Divine may appear successful outwardly but remains spiritually empty.
The Shabad also teaches that actions done without wisdom lead to suffering. Rather than following ego, desires, or blind habits, Gurbani encourages us to live with awareness, humility, and Naam.
When we stay rooted in the Guru's teachings, our thoughts, words, and actions naturally begin to bear the fruits of peace, compassion, and wisdom.

Stay connected to the Divine Root through Naam and Gurbani. A life rooted in Waheguru will always bear meaningful and lasting fruit.
