✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 20 Harh | 4 July, Saturday | SGGS Ang 653 ✨
ਨਕਿ ਨਥ ਖਸਮ ਹਥ ਕਿਰਤੁ ਧਕੇ ਦੇ ॥
ਜਹਾ ਦਾਣੇ ਤਹਾਂ ਖਾਣੇ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਚੁ ਹੇ ॥
Nak nath khasam hath kiraṯ dhake de.
Jahā dāṇe tahāṅ khāṇe Nānkā sach he.
🌿 Meaning (English):
The reins of our lives are in the hands of the Lord. Our actions shape our journey, but wherever our sustenance has been ordained, there we shall receive it. O Nanak, this is the eternal truth.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਜੀਵਨ-ਡੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਮ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੈ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
मनुष्य के जीवन की डोर प्रभु के हाथ में है और उसके कर्म उसे आगे बढ़ाते हैं। जहाँ प्रभु ने उसकी जीविका लिखी है, वहीं उसे प्राप्त होती है। यही शाश्वत सत्य है।
💫 Reflection:
This Shabad beautifully balances two important truths: trust in Waheguru and responsibility for our actions. Gurbani teaches that while our efforts and conduct matter, the final outcome always rests in the Divine Will.
We often become anxious about our future, livelihood, or opportunities. Yet Guru Sahib reminds us that what has been lovingly ordained for us will never miss us. There is no need to live in constant fear or comparison with others. Instead, we should focus on living honestly, working sincerely, and placing our trust in Waheguru.
When we accept that the Divine is guiding our journey, our hearts become lighter. Worry gives way to faith, and we begin to appreciate that every blessing arrives at the right time according to His wisdom.
