✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 755 ✨

Ninḏā bẖalī kisai kī nāhī manmukẖ mugaḏẖ karann.
Muh kāle ṯin ninḏkā narke gẖor pavann.

🌿 Meaning (English):
Slandering others is never good, yet foolish, self-centred people continue to do it. Those who slander others bring disgrace upon themselves and suffer the consequences of their actions.

(Punjabi - Gurmukhi):

(Hindi):

💫 Reflection:
Gurbani teaches us to focus on improving ourselves rather than finding faults in others. Criticism, gossip, and slander may seem small, but they gradually poison the mind and create distance from the Divine.

Often, it is easier to point out another person's shortcomings than to confront our own weaknesses. The Guru lovingly redirects our attention inward. Instead of wasting energy on judging others, we are encouraged to cultivate humility, compassion, and self-reflection.

A person who speaks kindly and wishes well for others experiences peace within. On the other hand, a habit of negativity and fault-finding creates unrest in one's own heart long before it harms anyone else.

This Hukamnama reminds us that every word carries power. Let our speech become a source of encouragement, truth, and kindness rather than criticism and division.

🌼 Message for Today:
Before speaking about someone else, pause and ask: "Will these words bring peace or pain?" Choose kindness, and let your speech reflect the values of Gurbani.
