✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 682 ✨
ਅਉਖੀ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੇਈ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥
ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਪਨੇ ਕਉ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥
अउखी घड़ी न देखण देई अपना बिरदु समाले ॥
हाथ देइ राखै अपने कउ सासि सासि प्रतिपाले ॥
Aukẖī gẖaṛī na ḏekẖaṇ ḏeī apnā biraḏ samāle.
Hāth ḏee rākẖai apne kao sās sās parṯipāle.
🌿 Meaning (English):
He does not let His devotees face difficult times alone; such is His loving nature. Giving His hand, He protects His own, and with each and every breath, He lovingly cherishes and sustains them.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਸਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ-ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਔਖੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਰਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
वाहेगुरु अपने सेवक की रक्षा और देखभाल करने वाले हैं। वह अपना हाथ देकर अपने भक्त की रक्षा करते हैं और प्रत्येक सांस के साथ उसका पालन-पोषण करते हैं। कठिन समय में भी उनकी कृपा और सहारा हमारे साथ रहता है।
💫 Reflection:
This beautiful Hukamnama gives us reassurance during the difficult moments of life. Guru Sahib reminds us that Waheguru does not abandon those who place their trust in Him.
The words “ਹਾਥ ਦੇਇ ਰਾਖੈ” create a beautiful image of the Divine extending His hand to protect and support us. Challenges may still arise, but we do not have to face them without spiritual support. Through Gurbani, Naam, Ardas, and faith, we receive the strength to continue.
“ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ” reminds us that Waheguru's care is not occasional—it is present with every breath. Even when we cannot see the way forward, the One who has sustained us until this moment remains with us.
