⭕ Description

A simple and traditional very thin Sikh Kara, made from chrome-plated iron with a bright silver-tone finish.

At approximately 3mm wide and only 1mm thick, C7 is one of our thinnest and most economical lightweight Kara designs.

It is particularly suitable for customers looking for a discreet, lightweight Sikh Kara rather than a heavy or chunky bracelet.

Available in a wide selection of inner-diameter sizes, making this design suitable for different wrist and hand sizes.

⚠️ IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING

Because this C7 Kara is only approximately 1mm thick, it is naturally much more flexible than our thicker and heavier Kara ranges.

These Karas arrive from Amritsar, Punjab packed together in bundles. The bundles are traditionally secured tightly around the middle using dori/thread.

Pressure from this bundling can cause individual Karas to have a slight bend, oval appearance, uneven roundness or small change of shape, particularly around the area where the bundle has been tied.

This is a normal characteristic of this ultra-thin economical Kara range and should be expected when purchasing C7.

If you require a Kara with a more rigid, substantial and consistently round appearance, we strongly recommend choosing one of our thicker or heavier Kara designs instead.

📏 Choosing Your Kara Size

The size shown in the variation menu is the INNER DIAMETER of the Kara in centimetres.

For example, a variation marked 6.5cm means the internal diameter measured straight across the inside of the Kara is approximately 6.5cm.

Please measure carefully before ordering.

Kara sizing is primarily determined by whether the widest part of the hand can pass through the fixed bangle rather than wrist circumference alone.

Due to the very thin construction and handmade shaping of C7, measurements should be treated as approximate.

🪯 Sikh Kara & Traditional Significance

The Kara (ਕੜਾ) is a traditional Sikh bracelet and one of the Five Kakars (5Ks) associated with Khalsa Sikh identity.

The circular form of the Kara has traditionally been associated with continuity, discipline and remembrance of one's responsibilities and connection with the Guru.

Today, Karas are worn by Sikhs around the world in many different materials, weights, widths and designs.

This C7 version provides a particularly thin, lightweight and economical option for customers who prefer a discreet style.

🔨 Handmade & Economical Range Characteristics

Please understand that this is not a precision-machined jewellery bangle.

These economical Karas are shaped and finished using traditional manufacturing processes, with significant manual handling involved.

As a result, individual pieces may naturally display:

• Slight bends

• Slight oval or uneven shape

• Minor variation from a perfect circle

• Small cuts or dings

• Black grinding marks

• Joint/finishing marks

• Tiny pits or holes around the joined area

• Minor surface marks

• Small plating variations

• Slight width or thickness variation

These characteristics can be more noticeable on C7 because the Kara is only approximately 1mm thick.

They form part of the normal manufacturing and handling characteristics of this particular economical range and should not automatically be interpreted as transit damage or a manufacturing fault.

🎯 Ideal For:

• Singh & Kaur

• Sikh adults

• Sikh teenagers

• Customers wanting a very thin Kara

• Lightweight everyday wear

• Minimalist Sikh accessories

• Punjabi Kada wearers

• Khalsa cultural wear

• Customers who prefer discreet bracelets

• Sikh religious and cultural gifts

• Replacement or spare Kara

• Budget-friendly Sikh Kara

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Why might my Kara look slightly bent or oval?

C7 is approximately 1mm thick and therefore considerably more flexible than heavier Karas. These Karas are transported from Amritsar in bundles secured tightly with dori/thread. Pressure around the tied area can naturally leave a slight bend or uneven shape.

Is a slight bend considered damage?

A minor bend, oval shape or uneven roundness consistent with the characteristics described and shown for this ultra-thin range is considered a normal characteristic of C7 rather than automatically being transit damage. This does not exclude genuine damage that is materially beyond the normal characteristics described in this listing.

Will my Kara be perfectly circular?

Not necessarily. If having a highly uniform, rigid and consistently circular Kara is important to you, C7 may not be the best design for your requirements. Please choose one of our thicker/heavier Kara ranges instead.

Why are these Karas more prone to shape variation?

They are approximately 1mm thick, so they naturally have less rigidity than thicker Karas. Traditional shaping, bundling, transportation and handling can therefore affect their roundness more easily.

Can I reshape a slightly uneven Kara?

Because the Kara is thin, minor shape adjustment may sometimes be possible with careful handling. However, excessive bending or repeated reshaping can damage the plating, joint or Kara, so adjustment is entirely at the user's discretion.

What does the size mean?

The variation size represents the Kara's approximate inner diameter in centimetres.

Does chrome plated mean solid silver?

No. The Kara is made from iron with a chrome-plated silver-tone finish. It is not solid silver.

Can the chrome finish change over time?

Yes. As with plated products generally, appearance can gradually change due to wear, friction, moisture, perspiration, chemicals and everyday use.

Are all C7 Karas identical?

No. These are economical traditionally manufactured Karas, so minor differences in roundness, joint appearance, surface finish and dimensions are expected.

⚠️ Important Information & Protective Disclaimer

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE – THIN KARA SHAPE: C7 is approximately 3mm wide and only 1mm thick. It is an exceptionally thin, lightweight and flexible Kara. It should not be expected to have the same rigidity, weight or perfectly consistent circular shape as a substantially thicker Kara.

BUNDLING & SLIGHT BEND: These Karas arrive from Amritsar packed together in bundles that are tightly secured around the middle with dori/thread. Pressure at the tied point can naturally result in a slight bend, oval appearance, uneven roundness or shape variation. Such minor shape variations are an expected characteristic of this particular ultra-thin economical range.

HANDMADE/MANUFACTURING CHARACTERISTICS: Small cuts, dings, black grinding marks, joint marks, tiny holes/pits, minor surface marks, uneven finishing, plating variations and small dimensional differences may occur due to traditional manufacturing, shaping, joining and finishing processes. These minor characteristics do not necessarily constitute defects.

NOT PRECISION JEWELLERY: This product is a traditional economical Sikh Kara and is not sold as a precision-machined luxury jewellery bangle.

FOR CUSTOMERS WANTING PERFECT ROUNDNESS: If you require a heavier, more rigid or more consistently circular Kara, please choose one of our thicker or higher-grade designs rather than C7.

GENUINE DAMAGE: The above information relates to the normal characteristics of this design and does not remove your applicable consumer rights where an item is genuinely faulty, materially damaged or significantly different from the description.

SIZE: All dimensions are approximate. Variation sizes refer to the approximate inner diameter in centimetres. Please check sizing carefully before ordering.

PLATING: Chrome plating is a surface finish and may gradually show signs of wear depending on use, friction, perspiration, moisture, chemicals and storage conditions.

COLOUR: Silver tone and surface appearance may vary slightly due to photography, camera flash, lighting conditions, screen settings and manufacturing batches.

Some listings may include one AI-generated photograph for presentation purposes. Please refer to the actual product photographs for the genuine Kara's design, thickness, finish, colour and typical appearance.

One Kara is supplied per purchase unless a different quantity is selected.
