This Taksali Knee Long Kachera is one of the sacred Five Ks (Panj Kakaar) given by Guru Gobind Singh Ji in 1699.
The Five Ks are:
- Kesh
- Kangha
- Kara
- Kachera
- Kirpan
The Kachera symbolises discipline, modesty, readiness and commitment to the Sikh way of life.
