📝 Description
The W3 Stainless Steel Sikh Kara combines the traditional circular form of a Punjabi Kada with distinctive double twisted brass and copper rope-style edge detailing.
Its polished stainless steel centre creates a clean silver-tone appearance, while the contrasting decorative edges introduce an attractive gold-tone accent. This combination gives the W3 a distinctive two-tone appearance that works equally well with traditional Punjabi clothing or modern everyday wear.
At approximately 8mm wide and 7mm thick, with an approximate weight of 50–85g, this is a substantial Kara without the extreme weight of some larger heavy designs.
The smooth inner surface helps provide comfortable everyday wear, while the raised rope-style borders give the outer profile additional depth and character.
An excellent choice for Singh, Kaur, Sikh families and anyone looking for a decorative Punjabi Kara with traditional identity and contemporary styling.

🪯 Sikh Significance
The Kara is one of the Five Kakars (5Ks) traditionally associated with the Khalsa established by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Its continuous circular form is traditionally understood as a reminder of spiritual discipline, righteous conduct, equality, unity and connection with Waheguru.
The W3 preserves the recognisable circular Kara form while adding decorative brass and copper rope-style detailing for those who prefer a more distinctive design.

• Do not include the thickness of the Kara
• Compare the result with our available variations
Please check the size carefully before ordering.
🧽 Care Instructions
The stainless steel centre can normally be maintained by wiping it with a clean, soft cloth.
Brass and copper naturally react with air, moisture and skin oils and can gradually develop a darker patina. This is a normal characteristic of these metals.
The decorative edges can occasionally be carefully polished with an appropriate metal polish such as Brasso if a brighter appearance is preferred. Always follow the polish manufacturer's instructions.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
What is the W3 Kara made from?
The main body is stainless steel with decorative brass and copper wire edging.
Is the rope design actual rope?
No. The rope appearance is created using twisted metal wire detailing along the edges.
Is this a heavy Kara?
It has a substantial feel at approximately 50–85g, depending upon the selected size, but it is considerably lighter than some of our very heavy Sarbloh designs.
Why can the brass or copper become darker?
Both metals naturally develop patina through exposure to air, moisture, perspiration and skin oils. They can be polished when required.
What does the variation size mean?
It represents the inner diameter of the Kara in centimetres.
Is this suitable for both men and women?
Yes. The design is unisex and suitable for both Singh and Kaur, subject to choosing the appropriate size.

⚠️ Important Information & Protective Disclaimer
Brass and copper naturally oxidise and may gradually develop patina or darkening. This is a normal characteristic of genuine brass and copper and does not necessarily indicate a defect. Occasional appropriate polishing may be required if a brighter finish is preferred.
Minor polishing marks, grinding lines, tiny joint marks, scratches or slight variations in the positioning and appearance of the decorative wire can occur as part of traditional manufacturing.
Measurements and weights are approximate and can vary slightly according to size and individual production tolerances.
Please measure an existing well-fitting Kara before ordering to help select the correct inner diameter.
