✨ Sangrand Special Hukamnama Reflection – Jeth Sangrand | 15 May, Friday | SGGS Ang 134 ✨
ਹਰਿ ਜੇਠਿ ਜੁੜੰਦਾ ਲੋੜੀਐ ਜਿਸੁ ਅਗੈ ਸਭਿ ਨਿਵੰਨਿ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਸਜਣ ਦਾਵਣਿ ਲਗਿਆ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਦੇਈ ਬੰਨਿ ॥
Har jeṯẖ juṛanḏā loṛīai jis agai sabẖ nivann.
Har sajaṇ dāvaṇ lagiā kisai na ḏeī bann.
🌿 Meaning (English):
In the month of Jeth, one should unite with the Lord before whom all bow in humility. One who holds onto the support of the Divine Friend can never be held in bondage.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਜੇਠ ਦੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਵਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦਾ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
जेठ के महीने में मनुष्य को उस प्रभु से जुड़ना चाहिए जिसके आगे सब झुकते हैं। जो व्यक्ति प्रभु का दामन पकड़ लेता है, उसे कोई भी बंधन में नहीं रख सकता।
💫 Reflection:
Sangrand marks the beginning of a new month in the Nanakshahi calendar and reminds us to renew our spiritual connection with Waheguru. Gurbani teaches that true freedom is found not in worldly power, but in attaching ourselves to the Divine.
The Shabad tells us that when we hold firmly to the support of the Lord, no fear, attachment, or worldly pressure can truly bind us. The soul becomes spiritually free because its trust rests in the Eternal.
Jeth often brings intense heat in nature, and spiritually it reminds us of the soul’s longing for the cooling peace of Divine connection. When we bow in humility before Waheguru and live through Naam, the mind finds strength, stability, and freedom.
