ਆਵੈ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਤੇਰਿਆ ਭਗਤਾ ਡਿਠਿਆ ॥
ਮਨ ਕੀ ਕਟੀਐ ਮੈਲੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਵੁਠਿਆ ॥
Āvai sāhib chiṯ ṯeriā bhagṯā diṯẖiā.
Man kī katīai mail sāḏẖsang vuṯẖiā.
🌿 Meaning (English):
O Lord and Master, You come into my mind when I behold Your devotees. The impurity of the mind is removed when one dwells in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi):
ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਦ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਨਾਲ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
हे प्रभु! आपके भक्तों को देखकर आपका स्मरण मन में जागता है। साध संगत में रहने से मन की मैल और विकार दूर होने लगते हैं।
💫 Reflection:
This beautiful Shabad reminds us of the transforming power of Saadh Sangat. The company we keep influences our thoughts, habits, and direction in life. When we spend time with those who remember Waheguru, live humbly, and follow the Guru's teachings, our own hearts are naturally inspired toward Naam.
Gurbani teaches that spiritual company helps cleanse the mind. Ego, anger, attachment, and negativity begin to loosen their hold when our attention turns toward Gurbani, Simran, Seva, and the remembrance of Waheguru.
True Sangat is therefore a blessing. It does not simply give us company—it helps us remember who we are and draws our consciousness closer to the Divine.
