✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 1426 ✨
ਸਜਣੁ ਸਚਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਸਾਹਾਂ ਦੈ ਸਾਹੁ ॥
ਜਿਸੁ ਪਾਸਿ ਬਹਿਠਿਆ ਸੋਹੀਐ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੇਸਾਹੁ ॥
सजणु सचा पातिसाहु सिरि साहां दै साहु ॥
जिसु पासि बहिठिआ सोहीऐ सभनां दा वेसाहु ॥
Sajaṇ sacẖā pāṯisāhu sir sāhāʼn ḏai sāhu.
Jis pās bahiṯẖiā sohīai sabẖnāʼn ḏā vesāhu.

Punjabi:
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਸੱਚਾ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਬੈਠਿਆਂ ਜੀਵ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ।
English:
My Friend is the True Supreme King, the King above all kings. Sitting close to Him, we are honoured and beautified; He is the support and refuge of all.
Hindi:
मेरा मित्र सच्चा पातशाह है, जो राजाओं का भी राजा है। जिसके निकट बैठने से मनुष्य शोभा पाता है। वही सबका सच्चा सहारा और भरोसा है।
💫 Reflection:
This beautiful Shabad reminds us that Waheguru is not distant from us — He is our true Friend, our support, and the Supreme King above all worldly power.
In life, we often look towards people, possessions, position, or circumstances for security. Yet everything in this world can change. Gurbani directs us towards the One whose support never changes.
To sit close to Waheguru is to keep Him close in our heart through remembrance, faith, and Naam. This closeness does not depend on wealth, status, or worldly success. It comes from developing a sincere connection with the Divine.
When our heart rests in Waheguru, we begin to see life differently. Fear loses its hold, worldly approval becomes less important, and we gain the strength to face both happiness and difficulty with greater balance.
The greatest honour is not to sit beside worldly kings, but to live in the presence of the True King.
When Waheguru becomes our trust and support, we realise that we are never truly alone.
