✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 473 ✨

Nānak fikai boliai ṯan man fikā hoe.

🌿 Meaning (English):
O Nanak, when we speak harsh, unpleasant, or hurtful words, their bitterness affects not only others but also our own body and mind.

(Punjabi - Gurmukhi):

(Hindi):

💫 Reflection:
Guru Sahib reminds us that our words carry energy. A harsh sentence may take only seconds to speak, yet its effect can remain in someone's heart for years. At the same time, repeated anger, criticism, and negativity gradually disturb our own inner peace.

Gurbani therefore encourages us to bring awareness to our speech. Speaking sweetly does not mean hiding the truth; truth can still be expressed with patience, dignity, and compassion.

Before speaking in anger, we can pause and ask: Will my words heal or hurt? Will they create peace or deepen conflict? When Naam and humility live within us, kindness naturally begins to appear in our speech.

🌼 Message for Today:
Choose your words carefully. Speak truth with kindness, because peaceful words protect both the listener's heart and your own.
