✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 1428 ✨
ਨਰ ਚਾਹਤ ਕਛੁ ਅਉਰ ਅਉਰੈ ਕੀ ਅਉਰੈ ਭਈ ॥
ਚਿਤਵਤ ਰਹਿਓ ਠਗਉਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਫਾਸੀ ਗਲਿ ਪਰੀ ॥
Nar chaahat kachh aor aurae kee aurae bhaee.
Chitvat rahio thagaur Naanak faasee gal paree.
🌿 Meaning:
A person desires one thing, but something else happens. In trying to deceive others, one ultimately traps themselves. Guru Nanak Dev Ji reminds us that our own actions return to us.
💫 Reflection:
Human nature often leans towards control — we plan, desire, and expect life to go exactly as we want. But reality unfolds differently. When desires are driven by ego or selfishness, they rarely bring peace.
Even more deeply, this Shabad warns against deceit. When we think of misleading others for personal gain, we are not harming them as much as we are harming ourselves. Every intention shapes our destiny.
The “noose” is not always visible — it can be stress, regret, broken relationships, or inner unrest. Gurbani teaches us to live with honesty, humility, and truth, knowing that what we sow is what we reap.
