✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 819 ✨
ਤਾਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥
ਚਉਗਿਰਦ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਾਰ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥
ताती वाउ न लगई पारब्रहम सरणाई ॥
चउगिरद हमारै राम कार दुखु लगै न भाई ॥
Ṫāṯī vāo na lagī pārbarahm sarṇāī.
Chaugiraḏ hamārai Rām kār ḏukẖ lagai na bẖāī.
🌿 Meaning (English):
The hot wind does not touch the one who seeks the protection of the Supreme Lord. On every side is the protective presence of Waheguru; pain cannot overwhelm the one who rests in His refuge.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਖੀਆਂ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਡਗਮਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਬਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
जो मनुष्य परमात्मा की शरण में आता है, जीवन की कठिन परिस्थितियाँ उसे आध्यात्मिक रूप से विचलित नहीं कर पातीं। प्रभु की रक्षा उसके चारों ओर रहती है और उसे दुःखों का सामना करने की आंतरिक शक्ति मिलती है।
💫 Reflection:
This beautiful Hukamnama gives us a profound sense of reassurance. Guru Sahib teaches that when we sincerely seek Waheguru's refuge, we are never spiritually alone.
The “hot wind” can also remind us of life's hardships—fear, uncertainty, disappointment, and difficult circumstances. Gurbani does not promise that challenges will never arise; rather, it gives us the faith and inner strength to face them without losing our connection with Waheguru.
The words “ਚਉਗਿਰਦ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ਕਾਰ” create a powerful image of Divine protection surrounding us on every side. When our mind rests in Naam and our heart trusts the Guru, fear begins to loosen its hold.
