**ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਊਪਰਿ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋ ਦੁਖੁ ਕੈਸਾ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
ਬੋਲਿ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤਾ ਮਰਣਾ ਚੀਤਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥**
**जिस के सिर ऊपरि तूं सुआमी सो दुखु कैसा पावै ॥
बोलि न जाणै माइआ मदि माता मरणा चीति न आवै ॥**
**Jis ke sir ūpar ṯūʼn suāmī so ḏukẖ kaisā pāvai.
Bol na jāṇai māiā maḏ māṯā marṇā cẖīṯ na āvai.**

**Punjabi:**
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸੀਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਖੜਾ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੁੱਖ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਹੇਗਾ? ਪਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
**English:**
When the Lord and Master stands above us in protection, how can we truly suffer? Yet, intoxicated by Maya (worldly attachments), a person forgets to remember the Divine Name and lives as if death will never come.

जिसके सिर पर स्वयं प्रभु खड़े हैं, वह दुख कैसे पा सकता है? लेकिन माया के नशे में डूबा हुआ मनुष्य प्रभु का नाम जपना नहीं जानता और उसे मृत्यु का भी ध्यान नहीं आता।

### 💫 Reflection:
This Hukamnama brings both **comfort and awakening**.
On one side, it gives deep reassurance — when Waheguru is our protector, fear and suffering lose their power. True peace comes from **placing trust in the Divine Hukam**, not from controlling life.
On the other side, Guru Sahib reminds us of a deep truth — we become so absorbed in **maya, ego, and daily distractions** that we forget what truly matters.
We live as if we are permanent, but our **breath is temporary**.
We chase wealth, status, and comfort, yet neglect **Naam Simran**, which is our true and lasting support.
The real pain is not outside —
it is **forgetting Waheguru while being lost in illusion**.
