✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 788
ਤੁਰਦੇ ਕਉ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਉਡਤੇ ਕਉ ਉਡਤਾ ॥
ਜੀਵਤੇ ਕਉ ਜੀਵਤਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਮੂਏ ਕਉ ਮੂਆ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕੀਆ ॥
तुरदे कउ तुरदा मिलै उडते कउ उडता ॥
जीवते कउ जीवता मिलै मूए कउ मूआ ॥
नानक सो सालाहीऐ जिनि कारणु कीआ ॥
Ŧurḏe kao ṯurḏā milai udṯe kao udṯā.
Jīvṯe kao jīvṯā milai mūe kao mūā.
Nānak so salāhīai jin kāraṇ kīā.
🌿 English Meaning
Those who move meet those who move; those who fly meet those who fly. The living mingle with the living, and the dead with the dead. O Nanak, praise the One who created this entire creation.
🌼 ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਰਥ
ਤੁਰਨ-ਫਿਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੁਰਨ-ਫਿਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਉੱਡਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਲ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਮਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਰਚੀ ਹੈ।

चलने वाले चलने वालों से और उड़ने वाले उड़ने वालों से मिलते हैं। जीवित जीवितों से और मृत मृतकों से मिलते हैं। हे नानक! उस सृष्टिकर्ता की स्तुति करो जिसने इस सम्पूर्ण रचना को रचा है।
✨ Reflection
Today's Hukamnama invites us to observe the remarkable order, relationships and harmony within Waheguru's creation.
Guru Sahib gives simple examples from the world around us. Those who walk associate with those who walk; those who fly with those who fly; living beings remain among the living. Creation operates according to patterns and relationships that exist within the vastness of Hukam.
But Gurbani does not allow our attention to stop at creation itself.
After describing this natural order, Guru Sahib directs us towards the One behind it:
“ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕੀਆ ॥”
O Nanak, praise the One who created the creation.
This changes the way we look at the world. The sky, animals, birds, plants, people and countless forms of life can become reminders of the Creator.
Human beings can easily become absorbed in creation while forgetting its Source. We become attached to people, possessions, achievements and temporary circumstances. Gurbani gently redirects our consciousness from what has been created towards the Creator who gave existence to everything.
The message is not to withdraw from the world. Rather, it is to live within creation while remembering Waheguru.
Appreciate relationships, care for others, admire nature and fulfil your responsibilities — but recognise that everything ultimately exists within Hukam.
When we develop this awareness, ordinary moments become opportunities for remembrance. A bird flying across the sky, a tree moving in the wind or simply observing life around us can turn the mind towards Waheguru.

Take a few moments today to observe creation without distraction.
Instead of seeing only what is in front of you, remember the One who brought it into existence.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਸਾਲਾਹੀਐ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕੀਆ ॥
Let creation remind you of the Creator.
