✨ 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗛𝘂𝗸𝗮𝗺𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – 𝗦𝗚𝗚𝗦 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟰𝟮𝟲
ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗਾਇਓ ਨਹੀ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਕਾਰਥ ਕੀਨੁ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜੁ ਮਨਾ ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਲ ਕਉ ਮੀਨੁ ॥
गुन गोबिंद गाइओ नही जनमु अकारथ कीनु ॥
कहु नानक हरि भजु मना जिह बिधि जल कउ मीनु ॥
Gun gobinḏ gāio nahī janam akārath kīn.
Kaho Nānak har bẖaj manā jih biḏẖ jal kao mīn.
🌿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:
If we pass through life without singing and remembering the virtues of the Lord, this precious human life is wasted. Guru Nanak Sahib Ji says: O mind, remember Waheguru with the deep longing a fish has for water.
🌼 ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਅਰਥ:
ਜੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਕੀਮਤੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ—ਹੇ ਮਨ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਂਘ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੱਛੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਈ ਤਰਸਦੀ ਹੈ।
🌺 हिंदी अर्थ:
यदि मनुष्य प्रभु की महिमा और सिमरन के बिना जीवन बिताता है, तो यह अनमोल मानव जन्म व्यर्थ चला जाता है। गुरु जी कहते हैं—हे मन! वाहेगुरु को उसी प्रेम और तड़प से याद कर, जैसे मछली जल के लिए तड़पती है।
✨ 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
Today’s Hukamnama asks us to consider what truly gives meaning to human life.
We can spend years pursuing work, possessions, recognition and countless responsibilities. These all have their place, but Gurbani reminds us not to become so absorbed in the world that we forget the One who gave us this life.
The image of a fish and water is especially powerful. Water is not optional for the fish—it is essential to its existence. Guru Sahib encourages us to develop that same inner need for Naam.
Simran should not remain something we remember only during difficulty. Through regular Gurbani, Naam and Ardas, remembrance of Waheguru can gradually become part of every day.
