ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੂੰ ਮੈ ਮਾਣੁ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ॥ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਕਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੇ ਆਗੈ ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ मेरे साहिब तूं मै माणु निमाणी ॥ अरदासि करी प्रभ अपने आगै सुणि सुणि जीवा तेरी बाणी ॥ Mere sāhib ṯūʼn mai māṇ nimāṇī. ਜਾ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੈ ਵਲਿ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਮੁਹਛੰਦਾ ॥ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈਨੋ ਸਉਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ॥ जा तू मेरै वलि है ता किआ मुहछंदा ॥तुधु सभु किछु मैनो सउपिआ जा तेरा बंदा ॥ Jā ṯū merai val hai ṯā kiā muhcẖẖanḏā.Ŧuḏẖ sabẖ kicẖẖ maino saupiā jā ṯerā banḏā. When You are on my side, Lord, what do I need to worry about? ਕੋਟਿ ਲਾਖ ਸਰਬ ਕੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ॥ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਦੀਆ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੇ ਮਰਿ ਜਨਮਹਿ ਗਾਵਾਰਾ ॥ कोटि लाख सरब को राजा जिसु हिरदै नामु तुमारा ॥ जा कउ नामु न दीआ मेरै सतिगुरि से मरि जनमहि गावारा ॥ Kot lākẖ sarab ko rājā jis hirḏai nām ṯumārā. The "bedava words" were letters written by 40 Sikhs, including Maha Singh, to Guru Gobind Singh ji. The letters declared that the Sikhs were no longer Sikhs of the Guru and were abandoning him. The letters were written during the 1704 siege of Anandpur Sahib.  The Sikhs were tired of war and homesickness, and wanted to return to their families.  The Mughal hill chiefs were demanding that Anandpur Sahib be evacuated.  The Sikhs who wrote the letters were called the Chali Mukte, which means "40 liberated" Sikhs.  The Sikhs were later motivated to return to Guru Gobind Singh ji by Mata Bhag...
