ਨਿਜ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖਿਓ ਜਗਤੁ ਮੈ ਕੋ ਕਾਹੂ ਕੋ ਨਾਹਿ ॥
ਨਾਨਕ ਥਿਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੈ ਤਿਹ ਰਾਖੋ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
Nij kar dékhio jagat mae ko kaahoo ko naahi.
Naanak thir har bhagat hae tih raakho man maahi.
🌿 Meaning:
I have seen the world closely — no one truly belongs to anyone. O Nanak, only devotion to Vaheguru is lasting; keep this firmly in your mind.
💫 Reflection:
In life, we often believe that relationships, possessions, and connections will always remain with us. But Gurbani gently reveals a deeper truth — everything in this world is temporary, and nothing truly belongs to us.
When we rely only on people or worldly attachments, we may eventually feel disappointment or emptiness. But when the mind turns towards ਭਗਤੀ, it finds something stable and lasting.
Only Vaheguru’s remembrance is ਥਿਰ (permanent). When we place this understanding within our mind, we begin to experience inner peace and clarity, no matter what changes around us.
