✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 2 Sawan | 17 July, Friday | SGGS Ang 342 ✨
Bẖabẖā bẖeḏėh bẖeḏ milāvā. Ab bẖao bẖān bẖarosao āvā.
Jo bāhar so bẖīṯar jāniā. Bẖaiā bẖeḏ bẖūpaṯ pėhcẖāniā.
When doubt is removed, union with the Divine is attained. Fear disappears, and faith arises. What I once believed to be outside of me, I now recognise as being within. Realising this mystery, I came to know the Lord.
This Shabad reveals one of Gurbani's deepest spiritual truths: the greatest barrier between us and Waheguru is not distance—it is doubt. As long as the mind is clouded by uncertainty and ego, we continue searching outside for what has always been present within.
Guru Sahib teaches that true faith begins when doubt fades. As trust in the Divine grows, fear naturally disappears because we realise that Waheguru has never been separate from us. The same Divine Light that sustains the universe also shines within every heart.
This inner realisation changes the way we live. Instead of constantly searching for fulfilment in the outside world, we begin to discover peace through Naam, self-reflection, and the Guru's wisdom. Recognising the Divine within ourselves also helps us see that same Divine presence in others, leading to greater humility, compassion, and love.
Remove doubt from the mind, and the presence of Waheguru becomes clear.
Stop searching for the Divine only outside yourself—through the Guru's wisdom, discover the One who already dwells within.
