✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – 10 Harh | 24 June, Wednesday | SGGS Ang 1005 ✨
Sarab ḏẖāran parṯipāran ik bino ḏīnā.
Ŧumrī biḏẖ ṯum hī jānhu ṯum jal ham mīnā.
O Lord, You are the Support and Sustainer of all. I make this humble prayer: only You know Your ways. You are the water, and I am the fish.
This Shabad beautifully expresses the soul’s complete dependence upon Waheguru. Just as a fish cannot survive without water, the soul cannot truly flourish without its connection to the Divine.
We often believe that we are in control of our lives, but Gurbani reminds us that the One who sustains the entire universe is also sustaining us every moment. Our role is not to understand every detail of His plan, but to trust His wisdom and remain connected to Him.
The image of the fish and water is powerful. The fish does not search for life outside the water—it lives, moves, and survives within it. In the same way, when we remain immersed in Naam, Gurbani, and remembrance of Waheguru, we find strength, peace, and purpose.
True humility begins when we recognize that everything we have comes from the Divine, and our greatest security lies in staying connected to Him.
Just as the fish depends on water, let your heart depend on Waheguru.
Trust the One who sustains all life, and stay connected to Naam in every situation.
