🌿 English Meaning

O Dear Lord, You are the honour of those who have no worldly honour. My Lord of the Universe can make those considered unworthy into people of worth. I am a sacrifice to Your wondrous and limitless creative power.

✨ Reflection

Today's Hukamnama carries an uplifting message about dignity, humility and the transforming Grace of Waheguru.

Guru Sahib begins:

Waheguru is the honour of the humble and those who have no worldly status.

Human society often decides a person's worth through external measures — wealth, education, position, appearance, influence or recognition.

Someone who possesses these things may receive respect, while another person may be ignored or considered insignificant.

Gurbani challenges this way of seeing people.

Our deepest worth does not come from how highly the world ranks us.

It comes from the One who created us.

The next line makes this message even more powerful:

My Govind can make the seemingly worthless worthy.

This is a message of tremendous hope.

A person may look at their past and think they have made too many mistakes. Someone may feel overlooked, unsuccessful or incapable. Another may have been repeatedly told that they will never become anything.

Guru Sahib reminds us that Waheguru's Grace is not limited by human judgement.

Through Gurbani, Naam, humility, Seva and sincere effort, a person's direction can change.

The person once controlled by anger can learn compassion.

The person trapped in ego can learn humility.

The person who feels spiritually empty can develop love for Naam.

The person whom society overlooks can become a source of goodness and Seva for many others.

This teaching also changes how we should look at other people.

If Waheguru can transform and elevate anyone, we should be careful before deciding that another person has no value.

Every person deserves dignity.

And when success does come into our own life, Gurbani reminds us to remain humble. If our abilities, opportunities and achievements ultimately exist within Waheguru's Hukam and Grace, there is little reason for arrogance.

The appropriate response is gratitude:

I am a sacrifice to Your wondrous power.

🙏 Message for Today

If you feel overlooked, discouraged or inadequate today, do not let worldly judgement define your worth.

Continue learning. Continue improving. Keep Naam within your heart and Guru Sahib's teachings before you.

And when you meet someone whom society considers insignificant, treat them with dignity.

May Guru Sahib bless us with humility when we succeed, courage when we feel low, compassion towards others and complete trust in Waheguru's transforming Grace. 🙏
