✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 694 ✨
ਬਹੁਤ ਜਨਮ ਬਿਛੁਰੇ ਥੇ ਮਾਧਉ ਇਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ਲੇਖੇ ॥
ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਸ ਲਗਿ ਜੀਵਉ ਚਿਰ ਭਇਓ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ॥
बहुत जनम बिछुरे थे माधउ इहु जनमु तुम्हारे लेखे ॥
कहि रविदास आस लगि जीवउ चिर भइओ दरसनु देखे ॥
Bahuṯ janam bicẖẖure the māḏẖao ih janam ṯumĥāre lekẖe.
Kahi Raviḏās ās lag jīvao cẖir bẖaio ḏarsan ḏekẖe.
🌿 Meaning (English):
For many lifetimes, I have been separated from You, O Lord. I dedicate this life to You. Says Bhagat Ravidas Ji: I live sustained by the hope of meeting You, for it has been so long since I have beheld Your Divine Presence.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਜਨਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਭਗਤ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
हे प्रभु! मैं अनेक जन्मों से आपसे बिछुड़ा हुआ हूँ। यह मानव जीवन मैं आपको समर्पित करता हूँ। भक्त रविदास जी कहते हैं कि मैं आपके मिलन की आशा में जीता हूँ, क्योंकि आपके दर्शन किए हुए बहुत समय बीत गया है।
💫 Reflection:
This heartfelt prayer of Bhagat Ravidas Ji expresses the soul's deep longing for union with Waheguru. While people often spend their lives searching for happiness in the world, Gurbani reminds us that the deepest yearning of the soul is to reconnect with its Divine Source.
