✨ Daily Hukamnama Reflection – SGGS Ang 201 ✨
ਥਿਰੁ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਸਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥
ਦੁਸਟ ਦੂਤ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਮਾਰੇ ॥ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਖੀ ਕਰਤਾਰੇ ॥
थिरु घरि बैसहु हरि जन पिआरे ॥ सतिगुरि तुमरे काज सवारे ॥
दुसट दूत परमेसरि मारे ॥ जन की पैज रखी करतारे ॥
Thir gẖar baishu har jan piāre. Saṯgur ṯumre kāj savāre.
Ḏusat ḏūṯ parmesar māre. Jan kī paij rakẖī karṯāre.
🌿 Meaning (English):
Remain steady within yourself, O beloved servant of the Lord. The True Guru shall resolve your affairs. The Creator removes the forces that trouble you and preserves the honour of His servant.
🌿 ਅਰਥ (Punjabi - Gurmukhi):
ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੇਵਕ! ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਟਿਕਾ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਰਹੁ। ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਸੰਵਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਰੁਕਾਵਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੀ ਲਾਜ ਤੇ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
🌿 अर्थ (Hindi):
हे प्रभु के प्यारे सेवक! अपने मन को स्थिर रखो और शांति में रहो। सच्चे गुरु तुम्हारे कार्य सँवारते हैं। परमात्मा बाधाओं को दूर करते हैं और अपने सेवक की लाज तथा सम्मान की रक्षा करते हैं।
💫 Reflection:
This Hukamnama brings a beautiful message of reassurance: remain steady and trust the Guru.
When difficulties arise, our mind often rushes ahead—imagining what might go wrong, trying to control every outcome, and losing today's peace because of tomorrow's uncertainty. Guru Sahib instead tells us, “ਥਿਰੁ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਸਹੁ” — become steady within.
This does not mean doing nothing. We should make sincere efforts, fulfil our responsibilities, and act wisely. But after doing our part, we do not need to carry every burden as though everything depends upon us alone.
“ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰੇ” reminds us that the Guru's Grace can open paths we cannot yet see. Even when circumstances appear difficult, we can remain grounded in Naam, Ardas, and faith.
And “ਜਨ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਖੀ ਕਰਤਾਰੇ” gives profound reassurance—the Creator Himself preserves the honour of His servant.

Keep your mind steady. Do your part sincerely, place your worries before Waheguru, and trust the Guru to guide what you cannot control.
