ਮਾਇਆ ਕਾਰਨਿ ਧਾਵਹੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਲੋਗ ਅਜਾਨ ॥
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਨ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਿਰਾਨ ॥
माइआ कारनि धावही मूरख लोग अजान ॥
कहु नानक बिनु हरि भजन बिरथा जनमु सिरान ॥
Transliteration
Maaiaa kaaran dhaavhee moorakh log ajaan.
Kaho Naanak bin har bhajan birthaa janam siraan.
Meaning
For the sake of Maya, the ignorant run around endlessly. Says Nanak, without meditating on the Lord, life passes away in vain.

ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਲਈ ਬੇਸਮਝ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੌੜਦਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਬੇਅਰਥ ਬੀਤ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

🌿 Today’s Reflection
In today’s fast-paced world, everyone is running —
but very few stop to ask why.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji reminds us that a life spent only chasing Maya — wealth, status, and desires — may look busy, but can become spiritually empty.
The real loss is not time,
but a life without remembrance.
We often think:
“I will focus on Naam later…”
“I will remember Waheguru when I have time…”
But Gurbani gently warns —
life passes quickly.
Without Simran:
• Effort becomes endless chasing
• Success feels incomplete
• Peace remains out of reach
With Naam:
• The mind finds direction
• The heart finds contentment
• Life gains true purpose
