ਵੈਸਾਖਿ ਧੀਰਨਿ ਕਿਉ ਵਾਢੀਆ ਜਿਨਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਬਿਛੋਹੁ ॥
ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹੁ ॥
Vaisākh dhīran kio vādhīā jinā parem bichhohu.
Har sājan purakh visār kai lagī māiā dhohu.
🌿 Meaning:
In the month of Vaisakh, how can the soul-bride find peace when she is separated from her Beloved? Forgetting the Divine, she becomes attached to Maya—the illusion that deceives.
💫 Reflection:
Vaisakhi is a time of joy, renewal, and celebration—but Gurbani reminds us of a deeper truth. True happiness does not come from the outer world, but from union with Waheguru.
When the soul forgets its true Beloved and becomes attached to Maya—wealth, ego, and worldly pleasures—it experiences an inner emptiness. No matter how much we celebrate externally, without Naam, the heart remains restless.
This Shabad invites us to reflect: Are we celebrating only outwardly, or are we also nurturing our inner connection with the Divine? Real joy blossoms when love for Waheguru fills our heart and we remember Him in every moment.
